ETM Membership Benefits:
Business Partnerships: Members have a compiled list of small businesses and entreprenuers that have committed to the ETM mission & joined the comminity based on an alignment of values. They each provide a unique benefit just for ETM members (for example: a hairstylist that accepts bartering for hairstyles; a coffee shop that accepts volunteer shifts for discounted drinks; a photographer with a package created specifically for ETM; etc.).
Notary Services: Conduct legitimate business with your community members/friends/family while cutting out big corporations and lenders and also maintaining protections in case any agreements don’t go as planned. We will provide notary services and help file legal agreements for our members.
Member-only parties: Everything cannot and will not be about business. Joy is revolution! There will be 1 monthly celebration our members have the option of attending. Again, they are member-only; so if they want to come— $3.00!
Children-focused: Children are at the heart of our communiy. Parenting workshops and/or discussions will be a quarterly occurance that all are encouraged to attend. There will be one all-ages, family event and one tween-teen age event monthly.
Recurring handouts: There will be continuous contributions to a pot. Every time it reaches $250, a 24-hour submission link will be shared with the ETM Social Community so members can submit a screenshot of a bill or an explanation of a want/need. Random winner will be selected. Repeat!
Marginer Calendar: We will have multiple versions of calendars available for download of the events ETM plans to host for the month and creative activities and challenges our community members can complete. We invite our community to congregate as much as possible to garner the trust and familiarity needed to make impact. Providing the same calendar to all members ahead of time can give our members an opportunity to plan ahead, plan strategically, and express any concerns or comments they may have.
Community Ownership:
Are there any pressing topics you'd like to see acknowledged? Are there any ideas you'd like to see contribute? ETM is looking for committee leaders who can lead in driving change for the things and topics they're most passionate about. We are also looking for our members to join a committee to stay active in. Remember: this organization is about collective action. We won't see our mission come to fruition without you.
From Marginer to Margineer (by definition, an engineer is a person who designs/builds/maintains. machines/structures/systems... ;) get it?):
Marginers activity and participation will be observed. Once a threshold is met, an upgrade can occur leading to waived membership fees, invitation to be a repeat guest on the show with episode idea freedom, and extra benefits that will evolve as the organization does.
